Our members prevented hunting at Laudoha Forest
POSTED ON: 7 May 2024
Our team collaborated with the forest department to intercept poachers at Laudoha Forest, Durgapur, Paschim Bardhaman. While conducting our routine survey, two of our members, namely Manish Kumar Chattopadhyay and Subhadeep Saha spotted a group of hunters in the forest. They quickly informed our senior member, Arnish Bose, who took immediate action by notifying the forest department.
Upon investigation, we recovered several nets and hunting equipment from the poachers. Both our team and the forest department educated the hunters about the importance of wildlife conservation, relevant laws, and associated penalties.
Please keep us informed about any such incidents in the future. Our ongoing partnership with the forest department enables us to address various challenges that threaten biodiversity conservation.
